Burlington

Referred to as “Hub city,” Burlington, Washington serves as Skagit County’s heart of commerce. Centrally located between the cities of Mount Vernon and Sedro-Woolley, the city of Burlington provides the main hub for where most of the counties commercial and business activity takes place.

With fewer than 10,000 residents, people from all across the county and even our Canadian neighbors to the North, flock to Burlington to take advantage of everything from big box stores like Costco, Kohl’s and Fred Meyer to shopping centers such as the Cascade Mall and the Outlet Shops. Through all the growth and expansion however, you can still venture over to Fairhaven Street and find some of that small, downtown feeling and charm.

Aside from being known as the commercial center, one of the main draws to the area is the Annual Berry Dairy Days Celebration. Held every year on the 3rd weekend in June, this four day celebration is nothing short of great fun, entertainment and lots of delicious food.

The city of Burlington is full of opportunities; with plenty to do and lots of places to shop and dine. Make sure to visit the great city of Burlington, it’s a stop you will want to make time and time again!
